This pst week was a cold and brutal week, weather wise in SW WA.and we hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and were able to spend time with friends and family.
Columbia River: High and dirty with a few Salmon still being caught at mouth of Lewis and Kalama.
Lewis River: High and green with 3 feet of visibility, a few coho still being caught at the hatchery hole on hardware, reports that a few hatchery Steelhead being caught in the lower river.
Cowlitz River: High and dirty, i believe the lakes have turned over cause there is a lot of color in the water. still a few coho being caught at the salmon hatchery on eggs cured in Zilla as well as Hardware. A few reports of a few winter steelhead being caught at blue creek.
Humptulips River: The cold weather has caused most if not all the rivers to drop like a rock. This system is low and clear with Coho to be caught as well as Steelhead, Method of choice eggs cured with Zilla Bait, Hardware work well also. Try and stay off the holes and cast farther to get the best results.
East Fork Satsop River: very low and gin clear, a few coho to be caught using hardware.
Wishka River: low and clear, again access is minimal but a few coho and winter steelhead to be caught using Hardware.
Skookumchuck River: Low water, however there are coho at the top end of the river. focus on the hatchery area to the deadline. Throwing hardware has been effective.
Newakum River: low water with minimal access, a few coho around and a occasional steelhead.
