Columbia River: slow still a few sturgeon being caught at the mouth of Willamette.
Lewis River: winter steelhead is on the menu in this system, catch rates have defiantly improved. Techniques float and eggs, side drifting roe, Float and jigs.
Cowlitz River: In years past this was the fishery to be at for Christmas Steelhead, that is not the case now. Very slow
Chehalis River: there are. Few winter steelhead being caught by the plunkers, Water has definitely dropped with all the cold weather in the mountains.
Humptulips River: still a few Coho and hatchery winter steelhead to be caught. Float and jigs is the ticket.
Wynochee River: This system I spend tons of time on and I can say that the steelhead are there, The numbers sure seem to be strong as we are getting limits everyday. Techniques, Side drifting roe cured in ZILLA Bait. Float and eggs works as well.
Satsop River: there are some late winter coho still around, not many steelhead yet. Twitching jigs and throwing hardware is what I would use.
Skookumchuck River: still some late coho and a few early steelhead showing. Reports are the hatchery hole is where you want to be.
Newakum River: slow
